The last time I saw sajego
We went to Kings Dominion for Deaf Awareness Day!
I briefly met Meredith at a workshop during the summer.
What I didn’t realize, we already knew other on StumbleUpon for about a year previously!
It’s funny we didn’t recognize each other at the workshop.
Hope to see Meredith again sometime at another event later! ;)
When I was a kid, I attended a Star Trek convention that she was scheduled to go to – but her flight was canceled and she didn’t make it. A couple of years ago, she finally appeared at the same convention she’d missed previously, and that time I was an ASL interpreter for the convention so I got to meet her. She’s so tiny!
I had a wonderful time meeting Richard Biggs. I was interpreting at a Star Trek convention where he was a featured guest, and because he was losing his hearing he found what I was doing quite interesting. He was a wonderful, warm person and I was so sorry to hear of his passing.
I interpreted for Connor Trinneer at a Star Trek convention. He was very laid back.
I interpreted for James at a convention in Baltimore. He was shorter than I expected (I was onstage with him and he wasn’t much taller than me), but he brought out his guitar and sang which was nice.
I originally met superaleja on LambdaMOO, that gathering place for throwback geeks who dig old-school ASCII text only interaction. I am also friends with her through LiveJournal, and we met in person for the first time when we saw the movie Mirrormask together.
